Accounts and personal data
There is no sign-in and no form that asks for your name, school or email. We do not sell personal information, because the site is not set up to collect it.
Visit count
The home page shows a total visit count. A visit is stored as a number on our server. It is not tied to your name. Your browser remembers, for that sitting only, that you have already been counted, so a refresh does not add another visit.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can control personalised ads in Google’s ad settings. Google’s own policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Shop and affiliate links
The shop links to Amazon.co.uk. Upcott Studios is an Amazon Associate and earns from qualifying purchases. If you follow a link, Amazon may set its own cookies and process your visit under Amazon’s privacy notice. We do not receive your Amazon account details.
Other sites
Guides link to theatres, film platforms, Folger, MIT and similar sites. Once you leaveShakespeare Study, their policies apply, not this one.
Students
The site is written for students aged 15–18. It does not ask them to create an account or send us personal information. A parent or student can email [email protected] with any privacy question.
Changes
If this notice changes, the updated version will appear on this page. See also About.
